2016 Much Music Video Awards: Performances and full winners list

Up in the land of moose, beavers, and maple syrup, it was an exciting weekend for Canada, as iHeartRadio hosted the annual Much Music Video Awards (the MMVA’s for short) at their Toronto HQ to honour the year’s best music videos.

Stirring up the excitement this year were stunning hosts Gigi Hadid and Lucy Hale.

The night was lit up by performances from both international and local artists, including Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes, James Bay, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Hailee Steinfeld, Shawn Hook, and more.

But what’s more important than these exciting performances is this year’s winners. It was a good night for Drake, as the Canadian rapper took home five trophies, including Video of the Year, Best Director, Best Hip hop Video, Best MuchFACT video, and Most Buzz-worthy Canadian.
