Indonesia’s LALALA Festival 2016 announces first wave of performers

World, meet LALALA Festival, Indonesia first ever international music festival in the forest.

The inaugural edition of LALALA Festival is happening on November 5 in the tropical woodland of Pine Forest Cikole, Lembang, Bandung.

Neon Lights 2016 bills Crystal Castles, José González, Shura and many more

Irish rock band Kodaline are set to headline and their folk sound will be joined by London-based newcomer Jasmine Thompson (Robin Schulz’s “Sun Goes Down”), Austrian electronic house duo Naxxos, Korean rapper Keith Ape, and Filipino acoustic band MYMP.

Neo-soul octet Maliq & D’Essentials, RnB singer Teza Sumendra, pop star Maudy Ayunda, and indie act Kimokal are some of the local faces confirmed for the festival. Stay tuned for further announcements in the coming weeks

Headliner Kodaline recently played at the funeral of the 17-year-old fan who died of heart failure during their Dublin gig last month. Having wrapped up their own tour in March, the band is currently play different festivals, with their most recent gig at Budapest’s Sziget Festival last week and an upcoming one at Run, Rock ‘N’ Raise with Kaiser Chiefs in Newcastle in September.
