With a happy new year comes a happy romantic rekindling *sighs*. We’re going to try not to get ahead of ourselves here but it looks like Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth are very much back on.
Miley and her ex-fiancé reunited during the New Year’s in Australia where they were spotted “cuddling and kissing” the Falls Music Festival in Byron Bay, E! reports. The pair attended the event with The Hunger Games actor’s family, including his brothers, Chris and Luke Hemsworth, and their wives, Elsa Pataky and Samantha.
Australia’s Daily Telegraph also adds they arrived at the festival late in the evening and were spotted spending about half an hour in the VIP area with a group of friends before walking into the open arena to see Disclosure’s 90-minute set.
Miley and Liam began their romance on the set of 2009’s film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel The Last Song. After ending their engagement and five-year relationship last year, the pair remained close friends. The “Dooo It!” singer once helped her ex adopt a rescue dog and posted a picture of herself in a couple onesie they got together.
“We were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change,” Liam told Men’s Fitness magazine. “And that’s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn’t just a fling.”
