The collaboration came together naturally. Soft Pine, who’ve been playing shows both in Thailand and Japan, met Pii while recording a live session in Tokyo. Soft Pine was formed in 2018 and has since built a loyal following for their signature sound: relaxing, groovy, and emotionally rich. After dropping their fourth album Another Half, they’ve been making regular stops in Japan and even launched their album there in 2023. This year, they’re back again with performances lined up at DYGL Spring Tour, PiiCNiC at TOKIO TOKYO, and SHIMOKITAZAWA Sound Cruising in May 2025.

Pii, also known as Porin from Awesome City Club, brings a warm and nostalgic energy to everything she sings. Her voice is often described as calming and even “spiritual” by fans. When she and Soft Pine connected, it didn’t take long to realize their styles would blend beautifully—and Foolish Situation was the perfect track to prove it.
