Filipino fans were delighted as OneRepublic shares the stage with Korean girl group Apink at MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016.

The highly anticipated show was held at SM Mall of Asia last Friday (June 24).

Though the event was right at the beginning of the Philippines’ rainy season, the show started without any drop of drizzle.

“I think God is smiling on us. It cooled down. It’s night. It’s not raining. This is perfect!” lead singer Ryan Tedder told the crowd.

Ironically, just as the band was about to kick off, Mother Nature delighted the crowd with a sudden downpour.

Nevertheless, this didn’t stop the band from pumping up the dampened crowd with hits from “Secrets”, “Stop and Stare”, “Apologize”, “Good Life”, “Counting Stars”, to newest single “Wherever I Go”.

Joining OneRepublic was K-pop’s “fairy” girl group Apink, who made their Manila debut at the show.

The six-member band gathered loud cheers from their fans, performing hits such as “Mr. Chu”, “NoNoNo”, “Remember”, “Attracted To U” and “LUV”.

The concert also featured other international names, such as American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and hiphop EDM trio Far East Movement, as well as local artists, including pop darlings James Reid and Nadine Lustre, and Gary and Gabriel Valenciano.
