After performing the song during her Fault Line Tour, the California-based singer-songwriter has officially released ‘Hope You’re Not Happy’ via Mom+Pop Music.
Featuring soft beats and acoustic guitars, Ashe sings out “I hope you’re not happy without me” in her new anthemic breakup track.
She comments,
βSome songs are about acceptance and moving on; wishing someone the best even though youβre not together anymore. This is not that song. βHope Youβre Not Happyβ is about the harsh truth that us all at some point hope the person weβre no longer with is miserable without us.β
‘Hope You’re Not Happy’ follows her single ‘Another Man’s Jeans’, the first piece of muic since debut albumΒ Ashlyn.
Ashe is set to embark to the US on her recently announcedΒ Is It Me Or Is It Hot Tour, with the first date to kick off on July 7 at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom. The tour will finish on September 22 at Fort Lauderdale.
