Avicii cancels all remaining shows in Las Vegas

Less than two months after sharing a heartfelt “retirement” letter, Swedish EDM sensation Avicii has pulled out all of his residency shows in Las Vegas.

XS Las Vegas and Encore Beach Club announced on social media on Friday (May 13) the 26-year-old electronic dance DJ and producer had to cancel the remaining performances “due to personal reasons”. Initially, his club residency would run until June 25.

Due to personal reasons @Avicii has cancelled the remainder of his 2016 @EncoreBeachClub and @XSLasVegas dates, as a result we are pleased to announce that @DillonFrancis will be his replacement this Saturday. Tickets holders will be contacted via email with further instructions.

Fans looking forward to Avicii’s tour elsewhere need not fret. His representatives confirmed to Billboard other show dates would not be affected.
