British indie band Bloc Party are coming back to Asia after four years to headline a new Malaysia festival.
The band will be top-billing the first day of SoundValley Festival 2017 which takes place on Saturday-Sunday, November 11-12 at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Selangor. The festival is held in conjunction with Malaysia Autoshow 2017 by Malaysia Automotive Institute.

Also performing at the festival are local and regional acts Hujun, Bunkface, Barasuara, The Otherside Orchestra, Wings, May, Metalasia, Fiftyone50, Cassandra, and Loudness, Japan’s heavy metal legends who are wrapping up the second night.
Bloc Party were last seen in Malaysia at Future Music Festival Asia 2013, sharing the stage with The Prodigy, Rudimental, and Rita Ora. The visit was part of their Asia tour that includes Manila, Bangkok and Singapore.
Tickets to SoundValley Festival open now through AirAsia Red Tix. Early bird tickets, on sale until October 18, start at RM98. All types of tickets come with a complimentary entrance to Malaysia Autoshow 2017.

Bloc Party currently consist of Kele Okereke, Russell Lissack, Justin Harris and Louise Bartle. The band shot to popularity with debut album Silent Alarm, which features 2006’s indie hits like “Banquet” and “So Here We Are”. They have since released four more albums, the latest one being Hymns, their first release without founding bassist Gordon Moakes and drummer Matt Tong. Here’s a tune off that album.
