Vietnam may not get to host as many A-list artists compared to its ASEAN chums like Thailand or the Philippines. But that’s about to change – at least for these coming months.

Following their big Ariana Grande upcoming concert, MMI Live Vietnam has revealed EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers will be performing in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time on Thursday, September 14 at Truong Van Bang Street, Thanh My Loi Ward, District 2.

Formed in 2012, The Chainsmokers are Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. The New York couplet broke through with 2014’s “#Selfie” before releasing a debut EP, Bouquet, featuring chart-topping “Roses”. In 2016, they dominated worldwide airplay with 2016’s “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Closer”, their first number one single which stayed atop the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks and became the first song to stay in the top 5 for 26 weeks.
