After the single “Stitches” from the album Handwritten (2015) reached number one in UK and top 10 in the United States and Canada. He then released his second studio album Illuminate (2016) with the singles “Treat you Better” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” reached top 10 in many countries. The single “In My Blood” supported his self-titled album in 2018. Making all three albums debuted atop US Bilboard 200. In 2018, he became the first artist to achieve 4 number one singles in Adult Pop Songs before the age of 20.
