Day Trip 2nd edition brought the perfect underground house party vibes to nature.
Day Trip Festival founded by both Superstar Panda (Kandoo, Thaibreak, Fly to The Moon, TH) and Koish (Alba, Fly to The Moon, TH) in 2018, brought us another getaway experience held at Baan Tai Had Resort on the 8-9th June at Amphawa, Thailand.
After its successful debut in June 2018, Day Trip events continue to take place in multiple venues across Bangkok including Iconic Studio and 12×12. With the return of its second edition this year of just under 100 participants and local and international DJs, Day Trip remains to be one of the most relaxed festivals supporting eclectic talented local and international DJs!
Commencing at 11am in the morning with a journey from Bangkok bus station to Baan Tai Had Resort, the atmosphere during the journey was pleasing as everyone on the bus interacted with each other throughout the 1-hour van ride. As we arrived, staff members surprised us with a special Day Trip canvas bag and a stainless steel cup as a souvenir for us to take on the festival journey. Did we mention that you could also BYOB (bring your own booze), well that is certainly one of the perks of being here!

The entire festival felt like a holiday with the family; it was full of love, glitter and a sense of belonging to a community. We even spotted a little dog!
A short rest on the grounds with a vegan Pad Thai to summon the lost energy, but there were also other options like burgers available in case anyone wanted something that was slightly more substantial.
The festival began just by the waterfront stage, built and collaborated with students from Technology Latkrabang where Transport crew warmed us with some house and disco vibes! One of our top-picks played was ‘Candidate for Love’ by T.S. Monk. Followed by Koish, residency of De Commune and Beam who played a variety of techno before we were all relocated to the after room.
As we shifted into the late after room, we encountered a set-up that was raw yet somewhat mesmerizing. If anything, this was perhaps one of the most impressive visuals that captured AsiaLive365’s eyes this year. The night continued with some people mingling by the pool, some decided to interact with the inflatable alligator that also went missing the following morning. Hmmm. The night ended early for us, but it’s safe to say that the nostalgia experience reminded us of the UK house party we used to attend back in London.
Day Trip encourages everyone who’s hoping to escape the mundane city life, yet still want to enjoy that underground experience to support the burgeoning underground community both international DJs and local DJs of Thailand. AsiaLive365 hopes to support more memorable experiences with Day Trip in the future!
Big Thanks to QC communication, Koish, and Superstar Panda for making this event happen.
