Grammy-nominated American alternative rock band Death Cab For Cutie is set to perform in Bangkok for the first time on March 3, 2016, at Hall 1, Moon Star Studio, Soi Ladprao 80.

Tickets (all standing) are still available for THB 1,800 through Thai Ticket Major. Following the exclusive gig, they’ll be headlining Manila’s Wanderland Music Festival on March 5, wrapping up their South East Asia visit.

The band, now consisted of Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer and Jason McGerr, is responsible for hit tracks like “Marching Bands of Manhattan”, “Transatlanticism”, “I Will Possess Your Heart”, “I Will Follow You into the Dark” and, from their latest studio album Kintsuki, “Black Sun”.

With the departure of former guitarist Chris Walla upon the completion of album recording, Death Cab For Cutie is now touring as a five-piece, with the addition of Dave Depper (guitar/keyboards) and Zac Rae (keyboards). Singer and guitarist Ben Gibbard believes it’s the best sounding live version of the band there has ever been.

“It’s as much a testament to having a fifth person who can cover all of the elements that we’ve been unable to cover with only four sets of hands,” says the frontman. “It’s a much bigger sounding band than it was last time, and I’d like to think it’s for the best.”
