Tantalize your musical taste buds this Friday for an experience with the wonderful Alex Barck from Jazzanova supported by Mike Butcher.
Jazzanova is a Berlin-based DJ/producer collective formed in 1995. The music is characterized by nu-jazz, chill-out, as well as Latin jazz style. Jazznova is undoubtedly one of the most influential names in modern music.
In fact for more than twenty years the eclectic collective has been busy producing, composing, arranging, remixing, djing and generally shaping our musical world β in the clubs, on the air, in the studio, live on stage, and with their label, Sonar Kollektiv.
Their βvery fertile musical worldβ (Time Out New York) βhas dominated the jazz-dance and down-tempo scenes for the past few years, both with its own label and with countless remixesβ (Phoenix New Times).

Alex Barckβs rise to world fame was as a member of Jazzanova in the late 90βs. Also as the A&R manager at Berlin-based label Sonar Kollektiv he was, and still is, responsible for some of the finest ever releases, spanning the horizons from soulful pop and witty dance music.
He hosts a number of radio shows on different international radio stations, such as Worldwide FM Berlin, and is also revered for his remix work (e.g Jeremy Glenn’s “New Life”, Jazzanova’s “Little Bird”, Vindahl’s “Question”, Little Dragon’s “Ritual Union”etc).

Born in London a long time ago, Mike Butcher has been brought up on a mix of musical influences ranging from original RβnβB to Soul, Reggae, Blue Beat & Ska. As time has progressed so has Mikes love of all things soulful in terms of music. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit & Philadelphia he has put together a large collection of music spanning many genres from US Soul, Funk, Disco & Jazz through to House music of many varying types.
After moving to Thailand he became one of the resident DJβs at Tapas Bar Room on Silom Soi 4 and was recognized for being one of the early pioneers of quality Soulful House music in Bangkok.

His DJ sets span from Soul & Funk thru Jazz, World Music to Deep Soulful House and Electronic Beats that take people on a true musical journey. The bottom line is if itβs good it gets played!!
