Duran Duran share new single ‘Tonight United’ following comeback

After announcing their return to music in celebration of 40 years as a group with new single ‘ANNIVERSARY’, Duran Duran continue their reunion with a second single titled ‘TONIGHT UNITED’.

The new tune is from Duran Duran’s 15th studio album FUTURE PAST, out October 22 via Tape Modern/BMG.

Recorded over lockdown across London and Los Angeles, ‘FUTURE PAST’ will see the renowned new wave band enlist talent spanning from the last 50 years.

Collaborators for their new genre-bending work include British DJ Errol Alkan, legendary composer Giorgio Moroder, Swedish pop singer Tove Lo, ‘Queen of Drill’ Ivorian Doll, and J-rock group CHAI.

Frontman Simon Le Bon comments on their partnership with Moroder,

“Giorgio Moroder, Duran Duran… this is music for a world that’s coming back together.”

Additionally, Blur lead guitarist Graham Coxon and David Bowie pianist Mike Garson are involved in closing album track ‘FALLING’ as well as Mark Ronson on ‘WING’.

Duran Duran recently performed their new lead single, ‘ANNIVERSARY’, at Global Citizen LIVE on September 25.

Moreover, due to the message of the song, ‘TONIGHT UNITED’ will be used as part of the theme music throughout the 24-hour global event to defend the world and defeat poverty.

Earlier this year, Duran Duran gave an comeback performance with a spectacular appearance at the Billboard Music Awards. The performance featured new single ‘INVISIBLE’ as well as staples such as ‘Notorious’ and ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’.
