Sir Elton John adds Bangkok to “All The Hits” Tour

Oh, how we despised all those days we had to keep this from you, AsiaLivers, but we can now finally confirm that Elton John, aka the Piano-Man, and his band are performing in Bangkok this November 29, at IMPACT Arena Muang Thong Thani.

First you have Bon Jovi selling tickets only three days ahead of the show, and now there’s Sir Elton John. We reckon Live Nation and BEC-Tero think Thais love surprises (and/or spending money on them quite pronto).

Thailand is to be the third stop for the tour’s Asia leg, after Japan and Hong Kong, before the two final shows in Singapore on December 1 and 2.

The set for will feature all the iconic hits and classic album tracks that trace the British legend’s incredible five decade-long career. This includes a selection of songs from his highly-acclaimed album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a remastered and reissued deluxe edition.

The touring band includes musical director Davey Johnstone (who first recorded with Elton in 1971 and joined the band a year later) on guitar; Nigel Olsson on the drums, part of Elton’s original three-piece band; Matt Bissonette on the bass; John Mahon on percussion; and Kim Bullard on the keyboards.

Tickets will be on sale on October 23, ranging from THB 2,000 to 9,000. For booking and more information check out ThaiTicket Major‘s site.
