Legendary musician Elton John surprised the crowd by bringing out Shawn Mendes and Demi Lovato to sing duets at his Los Angeles concert on January 13, 2016.
Performing at the Wiltern to preview his upcoming album Wonderful Crazy Night, the British musician first introduced the audience to rising Canadian star Shawn Mendes, “If I were 50 years younger… I’d still be one year older than Shawn.” The two then went on to perform the 70’s hit “Tiny Dancer”.

Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy was also amongst special guests. The punk singer joined Elton for “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting”. The British singer also played “Rocket Man” to dedicate to David Bowie, playing an instrumental “Space Oddity” leading into it.
