The region has been hit by many of our favourite blasts from the past lately – from Westlife to Nelly – but the news of Eurodance group Aqua pulling over their pink mustang in Singapore may be the biggest one yet.

Promoter Mode Entertainment announced today the Danish group behind inescapable global hit “Barbie Girl” is coming to Singapore to celebrate the song’s 20th anniversary (yep, feel old yet?). They’ll be performing on Saturday, November 25 at The Star Theatre with a full live band.

And you might not want to miss this one as Aqua, who have broken up in 2001, only reunite to tour for special occasions. Plus, Singapore is the only show date confirmed outside of Scandinavia (so far).

Originally a foursome, Aqua currently consist of Lene Nystrøm, René Dif and Søren Rasted. The group broke through in Scandinavia with “Roses Are Red” before 1997’s “Barbie Girl” and iconic debut album Aquarius launched them into worldwide craze. They’re also known for “Doctor Jones”, “My Oh My” and No. 1 ballad “Turn Back Time” from the movie Sliding Doors.
