Parasol consist of bassist/lead vocalist Yoonhae, guitarist/vocalist Naeun and drummer Wonjin. The band formed in 2013 through their mutual love of 60s-70s rock as well as Korean psychedelic masters such as Shin Joong Hyun and Sanullim, while each member had already been involved with various bands and projects by then, with a broad musical spectrum which ranges from rock and folk to soul, funk and even disco.
Parasol released their self-titled debut EP in July 2014, followed by first full-length album Someday exactly one year later. Over the course of their rather short career as a band, Parasol quickly developed a unique musical style of their own, drawing not only on their similarities, but also on differences and diversity. Their second effort A Person Who’s Nothing was released in July. They played their first shows abroad in Tokyo in August, which is followed by an extensive Asia tour.
