Hyukoh Asia 2017

Hyukoh Live in Singapore

Hyukoh seem to be patiently making the rounds of Southeast Asia. After three sold-out gigs in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, the South Korean foursome are circling back to the region with their first headlining show in Singapore.

They will be performing on Friday, November 24 at Zepp @ BigBox. The show is brought to you by Secret Sounds Asia. Tickets are priced at SGD98, available from August 23 via APACTix, hotline +65 3158 8588, APACTix outlets and TicketFlap. Grab them before they go up to SGD120 at door.

An indie/soft rock band hailing from Seoul, Hyukoh are Oh Hyuk (vocals and guitar), Im Dong-gun (bass), Lim Hyunjae (guitar), and Lee In-woo (drums). They’re responsible for stirring up the Korean indie scene and proudly claiming the title “Band of the New Generation”. The band encapsulates the essence of youth – wild and free but also empty and deserted º not only through their music but also through their videos, fashion and live performances. Hyukoh debuted in September 2014 with their EP 20, gaining popularity solely by word-of-mouth, without any media promotion. In May 2015, the band released their second EP 22, which charted in the top 10 of Billboard’s World Albums chart. The band undeniably became the hottest Korean indie outfit of their time, opening for international indie acts such as Mac DeMarco, How to Dress Well and Erlend Øye and also playing major festivals like Seoul Jazz Festival and Ansan Valley Rock Festival. Their unstoppable rise continued, with their 22 Year-End concert selling out in less than two minutes after tickets went on sale. This year, the guys are changing the game yet again with their first full-length album, 23, released in April to rave reviews.
