Rising indie pop trio LANY are making their Bangkok debut this August at DND Club, Ekkamai Moon Star Studio 1. Brought to you by U and VIJI Corp, the show is part of their whirlwind Asia tour, which includes dates in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
Formed in 2014 in Nashville, LANY are Paul Jason Klein (lead vocals, keyboard, guitar), Les Priest (keyboards, guitar, backup vocals) and Jake Goss (drums). Their name is an acronym for LA and New York, marking their dream of spreading their vibrant 80’s FM pop -inspired music coast to coast.
The group self-released their early EPs Acronym and Loved You before signing with Polydor Records (Years & Years, Madonna) in 2015 and received widespread recognition with Make Out, featuring their best known track, “ILYSB”, and its followup kinda, with online hits “pink skies” and “WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS”. LANY released their self-titled full-length album on June 30.
Update (Jul 28): With the show’s relocation from DND Club to Moon Star Studio 1, it will be able to receive a larger crowd and attendees aged under 20. More tickets, priced at THB2,000, will be available starting Saturday, July 29 (10am) via Thai Ticket Major. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per buyer.
A shuttle service will be provided at MRT Ladprao and the venue from 4pm-12am.
