It feels as if it was only yesterday that Lucy Rose set foot in Southeast Asia for an intimate ethereal evening. But fans, you’re about to get closer as the indie folk nymph returns in less than a year with the worldwide Cinema Tour 2017. Rose will be performing at Hanoi’s Rock City on Thursday, September 21.
Brought to you by Kindassault, the concert will include a charming live performance with a backup band, as well as a screening of the Rose’s documentary about her debut tour in Latin America last year. The short documentary is a fly-on-the-wall account of a 33-show trek organised independently by the Brit singer with the help of her fans.
The Cinema Tour is in support of Lucy Rose’s third album Something’s Changing, which was released on July 14 and is inspired by the aforementioned 2016 tour.
“The documentary is a big part of this record and I think it explains why that trip was important and why it lead to me making the record that I’ve made,” said Rose. “The trip gave me confidence to do things like record in just one take and the songs came more easily.”
