Rock veterans Extreme announce Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok dates

Extreme and Mr. Big’s co-headlining Australian tour announcement has sent rock stalwarts in Asia wondering if something can also be heading this way.

And they asked the right question. Not long after Mr. Big announced their Bangkok show, today Extreme confirmed they’re embarking on a Southeast Asia tour.

It’s a separate visit but it’s more than words. With the help of IMC Live Group, the Boston four-piece will be performing in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok in June.

The Kuala Lumpur show is slated for Sunday, June 10 at KL Live, Life Centre. Tickets, priced at RM238 for early bird and RM288 for standard, go on sale April 23 via TicketCharge. Fans can add on RM200 for a VIP package.

A year after his stint with supergroup Generation Axe, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt is returning to Singapore with and as Extreme on Monday, June 11 at Zepp@Big Box. Tickets, SGD98 for standard and SGD208 for VIP, go on sale April 23 via APACTix.

The long-standing rockers will conclude their tour in Bangkok on Wednesday, June 13 at Muang Thai GMM Live House, Central World. Tickets will be available April 25 via Thai Ticket Major and Ticketmelon, going at THB2,000 and 3,000. VIP package add-on is THB2,000.

Formed in 1985 in Boston, Extreme are Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Badger, Kelvin Figueiredo, and Gary Cherone. They’re known for their post-grunge and pop rock sound as well as the “funky metal” from their early days. Their biggest hits include “More Than Words”, “Hole Hearted” and “Rest In Peace”.
