Emerging pop singer Gavin Haley has officially released a duet version of his hit track, ‘The Way I Am’, featuring Thai actor Mew Suppasit on YouTube.
Gavin Haley has shared a new version of his 2019 hit song, ‘The Way I Am’ featuring Thai superstar Mew Suppasit. The video features the two singers performing the song together from separate locations.
The collaboration was born from Mew’s Twitter, in which he uploaded a snippet of his cover of ‘The Way I Am’. The cover gained massive fan reception across social media, resulting in Gavin contacting the singer for an official collaboration.
The pair have since hosted Instagram Live sessions to promote the release before the official video was released on Wednesday, August 25.
The video gained traction online, with #GavinxMew becoming the #1 trending topic in Thailand, as well as #TheWayIAm coming in at #3.
The duet version is also trending in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines leading #TheWayIAm to #17 worldwide.
The original version of ‘The Way I Am’ was released in 2019 and has gained over 31 million streams. The track was included in Gavin’s 2019 debut, Long Game.
The track was later reworked last year by Korean R&B singer SOLE.
