Grammy-Award winning R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer Miguel is coming to Manila for a one-night only show at The Island this October 9, 2019.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Miguel Jontel Pimentel developed a passion for music at an early age. His father is an amateur musician who was into funk, jazz, hip-hop, and classic rock. His mother, on the other hand, introduced him to R&B.
Miguel then continued his passion for music by releasing “All I Want Is You” in 2010 which included “Sure Thing”, “All I Want Is You” featuring J.Cole, and “Quickie”, which peaked at the top spot on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. During this time, he also toured with Trey Songz and Usher.
Come 2012, Miguel released his second album entitled “Kaleidoscope Dream”, which debuted at the 3rd spot on the Billboard 200. This album features “Adorn”, which earned him a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song, as well as “Gravity”, and “Do You…”, of which Phoebe Ryan did a mashup called, along with R Kelly’s “Ignition”.
Since then, Miguel became one of the new wave R&B artists, including The Weeknd, and Frank Ocean. What makes Miguel stand out though, is how he incorporates different music styles he grew up listening and loving into his music.
Miguel also got to collaborate with different artists such as Mac Miller for “Weekend”, Kygo for “Remind Me To Forget”, Mariah Carey for “#Beautiful”, Chris Brown for “Simple Things” remix, Dua Lipa for “Lost In Your Light”, and many more.
So come through and chill! Catch Miguel perform his top hits “Pineapple Skies”, “Sky Walker”, “Adorn”, “Sure Thing”, and more, live at The Island, The Palace Manila, Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig.
