American jazz singer-songwriter and Sing Jazz alumni Gregory Porter is returning to Singapore for his first headlining concert on the island.

Reunite with the two-time Grammy winner and his soulful velvety voice after three years at Sing Jazz presents Gregory Porter Live at Capitol Theatre on Saturday, September 30. Porter last performed in Singapore at Sing Jazz 2014 alongside Jamie Collum and Natalie Cole.

Early bird tickets are priced at SGD118 (Level 1) and SGD108 (Level 3 and 4), going on sale tomorrow (Jul 19), 9am through APACTiX. Advance tickets are SGD128 (Level 1) and 118 (Level 3 and 4), before going up to SGD150 at door for both types.

One of today’s most celebrated modern jazz singers, Gregory Porter shot to worldwide acclaim with 2013’s album Liquid Spirit, which features “Hey Laura” and titular single “Liquid Spirit”. The album peaked at No. 9 in the UK and won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2014. Its followup Take Me to the Alley released last May topped the UK and New Zealand charts before winning Porter another Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
