Known for his delicate and airy falsetto paired beautifully with instrumental accompaniments, the Welsh singer-songwriter Novo Amor (aka Ali Lacey) is heading to Singapore next March to bring his β€˜Bathing Beach’ EP and β€˜Birthplace’ album to the region!

From Singapore on March 6th 2020, Lacey will continue his tour to other cities within the region which include Manila, Taipei, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.
The young 28-year old rose to prominence after the release of his debut EP Woodgate, NY in March 2014.
In May 2017, β€˜Bathing Beach’, the second of Novo Amor’s EPs, was released via AllPoints, the in-house label of Believe Recordings.
Released in October 2018, Novo Amor’s first solo full-length album β€˜Birthplace’ was described by Lacey as β€œessentially a joyous and celebratory but slightly skewed look at the past” for him.
The title song was accompanied by an ambitious and visually stunning music video, directed by Sil & Jorik, that commented on the global plastic waste epidemic.
Featuring professional free diver Michael Board and a long whale model made from collected plastic waste, the video was reshared over 1,000 times and won awards including Best Video at the prestigious Camerimage International Film Festival and Independent Video of the Year at the 2018 AIM Awards.

Continuing to highlight important global issues, directors Sil & Jorik and Novo Amor’s most recent collaboration is a 12-minute film set across two chapters, β€˜Sleepless and Repeat Until Death’, which aims to shine a light on climate change and the devastating impact of air pollution in Mongolia.
Performing at the Esplanade for the first time and in an intimate performance place at the Annexe Studio, indulge in the iridescence of Novo Amor’s song this coming March.
Be transported to a space filled with Novo Amor’s beautiful soundscapes, as Lacey performs with frequent collaborator Ed Tullett, backed by a full band featuring strings, keys, guitars and drums. Producing music since 2012, Lacey has been winning over fans with his soulful sound and minimalist lyrics.
