Just days into its release, Joji’s ‘Glimpse Of Us’ has listeners in Asia on lock, charting in Spotify’s Daily Top 50 in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea.

Critically lauded artist Joji has released his first new music since his sophomore album, Nectar, in 2020.

The stripped-down piano ballad, ‘Glimpse of Us’, is a lovelorn remembrance of a past relationship featuring Joji’s recognizable melancholic vocal delivery.

The song charted to #1 in Malaysia, and climbed to the top 5 in Singapore on Apple Music Charts. The track also debuted in the Top 50 across five other Asia territories, namely Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

A music video directed by Dan Streit (Brockhampton, Charli XCX, Diplo) also accompanied the track’s release. The docu-style edit offers a sharp contrast to the elegiac ballad. All captured by one enigmatic figure behind the camera, the video depicts a day in the life through various acts of delinquency and sowing chaos.

Joji recently performed at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and will embark on his North American SMITHEREENS TOUR this fall. He is also scheduled to perform 88rising’s Head In The Clouds Festival in Pasadena, California on August 20-21.
