The iconic singer-songwriter will headline the virtual festival with a special live performance of her greatest hits and brand new music from upcoming album Smile.

Tomorrowland have announced that pop star Katy Perry will headline their Around the World digital music festival. The American singer-songwriter will be performing her most popular songs as well new music from her upcoming albumΒ SmileΒ during a ‘breath-taking visual spectacle’ on the first day of the festival (Saturday, July 25).

Says Perry of the event:

β€œI’ve always wanted to be a part of the fun of Tomorrowland, and have been following the amazing innovation, technology, and invention that this festival has always been about for a long time. I’m so glad to be a part of this version, and I hope my set makes you smile.”

Smile is scheduled for release on August 10, 2020 via Capitol Records. The pop starlet’s sixth album has been described as aΒ “journey towards the light, with stories of resilience, hope, and love”.

Tomorrowland’s β€˜Around the World’ Digital Festival will be taking place on Saturday, July 25 – Sunday, July 26. Both days will start at 4pm and end at 1am (CEST). A β€˜timezone friendly’ option will be available for viewers from Asia and North and South America.

The two-day virtual festival will be utilizing the world’s best technology in 3D design, video and special effects production to bring its eight different stages to life combined with an incredible lineup of the best electronic music artists today. All content will be exclusive for the weekend event.

More than 60 of the world’s best in electronic music will be performing including Afrojack, Alan Walker, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies, David Guetta, Don Diablo, Kolsch, Timmy Trumpet, and much more.

The festival offers several options for tickets. For the full experience, a weekend ticket costs €20 which gives users access to the entire two-day festival as well as 1 access code to the Relive platform where fans can enjoy all the performances again for one week from July 27 – August 2. A day ticket (€12.50) gives you access on either Saturday or Sunday, however, access to the Relive platform is not included.
