The popular Korean Pop convention announces 2020 dates for Japan, USA, and Thailand.

The largest annual convention KCON will be held across the world’s various locations. Last night an announcement has been made that they will be hosting in the same cities and places as last year on the respective dates with the following locations; Tokyo, New York, Los Angles and Bangkok.
KCON started out from Koreaboo in 2012 and was organized by CJ E&M. Produced by Powerhouse Live who continued to work on KCON from 2013 to the present date. The objective was to establish an annual flagship event that would improve the experience of American fans by providing them with an affordable way to connect with each other as well as artists and professionals from the K-pop industry. Surprisingly it was first held in Southern California as KCON USA and has expanded into eight different countries by 2018.
Shin Hyung-kwan, president of CJ E&M’s Mnet contents business, said,
“KCON, which has been held in Abu Dhabi in March, Japan in April, and Paris early this month, is not just about making money. Numbers are important but what matters more is the potentials created by the event for the next five, 10 and 20 years.”
