K-Pop artists NCT Dream, SHINee’s Key, WEi, and ALICE will be performing for the Begin Again: KPOP Edition concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday, May 29.

After several tweets teasing the Filipino audience, it’s finally happening!

K-Pop artists NCT Dream, SHINee’s Key, WEi, and ALICE will be performing for the Begin Again: KPOP Edition concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday, May 29. This will mark the first in-person event since NCT Dream’s concert NCT Dream Tour: The Dream Show held in February 2020.

NCT Dream is the third subunit of the boy group NCT which debuted under SM Entertainment in 2016. Five out of the seven members: Jaemin, Renjun, Jeno, Chenle and Jisung will be performing in the said concert while other two members, Mark and Haechan, are reported to be in Japan during the same date. The septet is known for their songs BOOM, Hello Future, and Glitch Mode from their full-length album with the same title. The group was dubbed as the first and only Asian artist to appear three consecutives times on Billboard’s 21 Under 21 mainly due to their impact on sales, streaming and social media.

Kim Ki Bum, better known by his stage name Key, is a member of the group SHINee (also under SM Entertainment). SHINee’s last visit in Manila was in 2017 where the group was part of the line-up for the OneK Global Peace Concert. This time, Key will be performing as a soloist. He debuted as a soloist in November 2018 with his digital single Forever Yours. His first Korean EP “Bad Love” was released in September 2021 with the title track of the same name. You may also recognize him from the small screen as he also appeared in several TV series such as Drinking Solo (2016) and The Guardians (2017), and variety shows like Amazing Saturday where he is a regular cast member since 2018.

WEi is a boy group under OUI Entertainment consisting of Daehyeon, Donghan, Yongha, Yohan, Seokhwa and Junseo. The group officially debuted in October 2020. All six members were contestants of different reality survival shows and five of them have been former members of other groups, as well. They are known for their songs “Too Bad”, “BYE BYE BYE” and their debut track “TWILIGHT”.

Last but definitely not the least, ALICE, the only girl group in the line-up. Originally a 5-member group now consists of 7 members: EJ, Do-A, Chaejeong, Yeonje, Yukyung, Sohee and Karin. The group, formerly known as ELRIS, debuted under Hunus Entertainment in 2017 with their first EP We, First. In December 2021, the act was transferred to IOK Company and got rebranded to ALICE in April 2022. Their other notable tracks include Pow Pow, Summer Dream, Jackpot, and Power of Love which was released earlier this month.

This will be WEi and ALICE’s first visit to the Philippines – making it more memorable. So don’t miss out to see your faves!
