San Francisco singer-songwriter and producer Lauv is confirmed as an opening act on Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour Asia.

AEG announced this morning the electronic pop talentΒ will be performing on 14Β Asia dates, including Osaka, Dubai and Southeast Asia.

Lauv, or Ari Staprans Leff, is best known for “The Other”, his 2016 breakthrough single that has beenΒ streamed 70 million times on Spotify and amassed more than 12 million views on YouTube. At the age of 23, he’s already co-written and produced for Charli XCX, Demi Lovato and electronic trio The Cheat Codes. His latest single “I Like Me Better”Β peaked at No. 15 in the US. Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour is kicks off in Asia on October 22 in TaipeiΒ and will run until November 23 where it wraps up in Dubai. The fast-selling tour isΒ the “Galway Girl” singer’s third world tour and most extensive one to date.

Update (Oct 27): Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta are officially cancelled while Manila, Osaka and Tokyo shows are postponed to April 2018.

No word yet whether Lauv will be present for these new dates butΒ his current schedule shows availability for the shows. Stay tuned for more news.
