Released on digital platforms today, all future streams and revenue of the track are donated to COVID-19 relief efforts.
Last month, fans finally got a chance to listen to Lauv’s emotional debut album, “How I’m Feeling.” Today, the pop singer released an acoustic version of the album’s latest single, “Modern Loneliness”, on all digital platforms where all profits are donated to Partners in Health’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
The acoustic rendition of the power ballad, which was written as a commentary on society living “alone together”, is originally part of an exclusive merch bundle where profits were also donated to the relief efforts. Lauv also participated in live streams hosted by Global Citizen as well as hosting an at-home live stream concert on his YouTube channel. Both the merch bundle and live streams have reportedly raised over US$30,000.
“Modern Loneliness” is the tenth single to be released from his “How I’m Feeling” album. The album has been streamed over 100 million times since its release in March and had a Top 20 chart debut around the world, including the US, UK, Australia and Canada.
Fans can check out the music video of the acoustic version below. For those interested in buying the merch bundle, they can do so here.
