This will be the Canadian multi-instrumentalist’s first time back in town since 2013, when he played Cosmic cafe with local heroines Yellow Fang.

Tickets are available May 11 at 10am through Ticketmelon for THB1,600 and THB6,000 for a bundle of four. Individual tickets go up to THB1,800 once phase one is sold out.

Beside Bangkok, the “Blue Boy” singer and his band are scheduled to perform at Fuji Rock Festival on July 27.

Emerging from the self-releasing project Makeout Videotape in 2009, Mac DeMarco is known for his blend of jangle pop and unusual lo-fi tones, or what he personally described as “jizz-jazz”. In 2014, DeMarco’s popularity grew significantly following the critical success of Salad Days.

The album is followed by last year’s full-length effort This Old Dog, which is more synth-based and introspective than any of his previous releases. Here’s a live rendition of “Still Beating”.
