Hong Kong’s biggest annual music and arts festival Clockenflap is kicking off the countdown to its 10th anniversary event with a major first wave of lineup performers led by Massive Attack and Feist.
Clockenflap’s 2017 return and decennial celebration is happening from Friday-Sunday, November 17-19 at Central Harbourfront. Helming the festival are UK trip-hop group Massive Attack, who will be putting on their only show in Asia this year there.
But before the Bristol big leaguers close off Sunday night, Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Feist will make her Clockenflap debut, headlining the opening night. Also confirmed are American indie veteran The Dandy Warhols, Danish songstress MØ and Manchester indie quintet Blossoms.
Hong Kong’s own Cantopop group Supper Moment lead the regional front, followed by alternative pop band Fan Hung A, South Korean R&B up-and-comer Dean, world-music act Tinariwen, Taiwanese alt-indie band Hello Nico and rap group Higher Brothers 海爾兄弟.
Live electronic acts will once again bring the party-friendly vibes to the festival with performances electronica collective Ibibio Sound Machine and genre innovators Cashmere Cat and Matthew Dear.
Early bird tickets open now until July 4, with full general admission passes going at HKD1,410 and weekend tickets at HKD890. For purchase and more options, visit Clockenflap.
This will be the second year Clockenflap is taking place at Central Harbourfront. The festival relocated from West Kowloon Cultural District last year after being staged there since 2011.
Expect more exciting lineup announcements soon.
