One of Thailand’s February dance mainstays Maya Music Festival is coming back earlier than expected.
The EDM music festival is undergoing a little makeover, announcing a condensed one-day return – a second installment this year – on Sunday, December 10 at Horseshoe Point, Pattaya.

Today it also confirmed the first name in the lineup: Australian DJ and producer Harley Edward Streten or Flume, who has previously announced his debut Asia tour. The 2017 Grammy winner is best known for tracks like “Never Be Like You”, “Say It” and “Insane”.
As we wait for further announcements, we can’t help but wonder which big names the Maya team have up their sleeves. It’s a bold move, after all, taking on the same weekend as Bangkok-based 808 Festival who has already confirmed the likes of Above & Beyond and Flosstradamus in their lineup.
Tickets to Maya 2017 2.0 are now available through Ticket Melon, going at THB4,000.

Amidst the more saturated EDM scene, Maya Music Festival debuted in 2015 and differentiates itself by combining music from world-class performers with ancient Thai art that inspires the design of the stage and installations on the festival grounds. The third and most recent edition of Maya was held on February 17-18 at Krating Lai Junction, with Zedd, Tiësto, KSHMR, Wiwek and more. Watch the aftermovie below.
