OneRepublic is set to perform at this year’s MTV Music Evolution Manila along with local pop royalties James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
Brought to you by the Philippines’ Tourism Promotions Board and MTV, the one-night-only celebration will be held at SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Friday, June 24.
The show will be OneRepublic’s second Philippines gig since 2013. The “Counting Stars” performers expressed their excitement in a statement, saying they’re “stoked to be going back to Manila again! We can’t wait to meet everyone for an awesome dance party at MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016!”

MTV has updated their local lineup, which includes MTV Europe Music Award-winning singer Sarah Geronimo, fan favourites James Reid, Nadine Lustre along with Gary V.
“We are thrilled to have […] Filipino pop star darlings James Reid and Nadine Lustre join us for MTV Music Evolution Manila 2016. These stellar performers personify the sound of local pop music which we are looking forward to celebrate on the MTV stage,” says MTV’s Senior Vice President, Paras Sharma.
Joining this first phase of the lineup will be American rookie Bebe Rexha, K-pop group Apink and EDM and hip-hop group Far East Movement.

MTV Asia VJs Alan Wong and Hanli Hoefer are hosting the event along with MTV Pinoy VJs Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras. The show will be broadcasted live for international audiences under the MTV World Stage global series.
More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks but starting today fans can win tickets to the show by joining a quiz on MTV Music Evolution’s website. The competition runs until June 12 and is open exclusively to residents of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand
