Prolific American singer and guitar virtuoso Richie Kotzen is making his way to Singapore for the first time with forthcoming Salting Earth World Tour.
Presented by LAMC Productions, Kotzen’s performance is happening on Monday, August 21 at Annexe Studio, Esplanade. The tour comes in support of his 22nd and latest solo album, Salting Earth, which came out in April with fan favourites such as “I’ve Got You” and “End of Earth”.
But of course, the show will feature all the hits and deep cuts from his impressive three-decade career, from his 1989 self-titled debut album to his years with The Winery Dogs, a super trio he formed with Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy.
Tickets are at one price of SGD118 with one house pour drink inclusive. They’re going on sale on May 18 through Sistic.com (9am) and Sistic hotline 6348-5555 and Authorised Agents (10am).
With his fast playing, fluid sweeping technique, and a soulful singing voice, Richie Kotzen was being mentioned in the same breath as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Tony MacAlpine. While having several lifetimes of albums to his name, bringing music to the people is his main mission:
“I know this is going to be a long album cycle of touring, and already we are talking about going to places I’ve never been before,” Kotzen notes. “With the new record being done and knowing dates are being booked around the world, I can feel my creative energy surging once again.”
