Shortly after announcing UK and Ireland dates for the autumn, ex-Westlife lead singer and frontman Shane Filan has decided to kick things off in a warmer climate.
Filan is bringing Love Always Tour to Ho Chi Minh City, performing on Sunday, July 16 at Lan Anh Stadium before embarking on a UK and Ireland tour in the autumn. The tour comes in support of his recently announced third album, Love Always. The Irish crooner was last seen in town in 2014, promoting his debut solo album, You and Me.
Early bird tickets will be available on June 11 via TicketBox, going from VND540,000-2,850,000. Standard tickets range from VND600,000-3,000,000.
Following a remarkable journey with Westlife and its breakup in 2012, Shane Filan has cemented his status as one of the UK’s most popular male artists. A followup to 2015’s No. 1 album, Right Here, Love Always is “a collection of some of my favourite classic love songs,” said Filan in a statement. “It’s an album I’ve wanted to make for a long time,” adding, “There’s also a few original tracks on there, some that I’ve written myself. It’s always amazing to get into the studio and see what we can create. I can’t wait for my fans to hear the album. It has been a long time coming.”
So in this upcoming show, fans can expect no less than timeless love ballads, solo hits as well as the best of Westlife. Here’s Shane Filan asking you to join him himself.
Filan is not the only former Westlife member to tour the world. Earlier this month, Brian McFadden teamed up with Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and performed together as Boyzlife in Jakarta.
