SIRUP and Ayumu Imazu just dropped a track that feels like it came straight from a midnight playlist — cool, moody, and hard to shake off. Titled “UNDERCOVER,” this R&B single isn’t just about the groove — it digs into the secret sides of ourselves, the versions we show online, and the ones we keep hidden.

This is the first official team-up between SIRUP and Ayumu Imazu, and it’s already making waves. With production by Taka Perry, the track blends slick beats and synths with SIRUP’s soulful vocals and Ayumu’s smooth mix of Japanese and English. It’s catchy, but it also hits on something real — the way we all move through life with more than one identity, especially in the digital age.

But the real twist? The music video. Directed by Daiki Kamoshita, it plays like a mini action film. There’s intense choreography led by stunt pro Saori Izawa (you might recognize her from Rurouni Kenshin and Kingdom) and a mirror duel that takes things to another level. And yes — Ayumu choreographed the final dance himself.

Everything about “UNDERCOVER” feels intentional — the music, the message, and the visuals all come together to create a late-night anthem for anyone who’s ever felt caught between who they are and who they’re supposed to be.

The single is part of a strong 2025 lineup from SIRUP, who recently released “RENDEZVOUS” featuring hard life and is gearing up for his full-length album OWARI DIARY, out this September.
