The energy was electric at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Thailand National Finals. This was held last June 8 at Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong train station. Amid intense battle rounds set to unpredictable tunes, 21-year-old popping dancer Stefanos Koukas from Pattaya emerged as the champ! He’s the first-ever Red Bull Dance Your Style Thailand National Champion. He now heads to Mumbai, India, to compete globally.
The Final Showdown
Stefanos outshone 15 of Thailand’s top dancers. He captivated the audience with his musicality and precision and ultimately besting dancer Gun The Zoo in the final round. Reflecting on his victory, Stefanos said, “It was a great experience, and it was so much fun. I enjoyed every moment, especially the final round, where I was pushed to double my energy!”
Having dedicated 15 years to perfecting his craft, Stefanos is determined to bring his best to the world finals. “I am so excited to go to the world finals in India because I have watched this competition for so long. I can’t wait!” he exclaimed.
Tai-Darika Sangnak, Red Bull’s Dance Consultant, noted the significance of this event for Thailand’s dance scene, stating, “This was a groundbreaking moment for dance in Thailand. It’s not just an opportunity to showcase our incredible talent but also a significant step towards paving the way for future generations of dancers.”
