With the passing of the late King of Thailand, many entertainment events in the Southeast Asian countryΒ were forced to cancel or postpone as ThaisΒ observe an extensive period of mourning.
Following last month’s reports, which did not specify how extensive the period would be, an official citing the Thai Prime Minister’s office announced yesterday Thailand wasΒ ready to face the music,Β with festive activitiesΒ permitted to be held from November 14 onwards.
The nine types of activities in the announcement include concerts and festivals, sporting events, cultural fairs, and seasonal celebrations such as Loy Krathong Festival, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Because no specific timeframe was given prior to yesterday’s restrictionΒ lift, promoters had already postponed their event to a new date, which is at leastΒ 100 days after theΒ grief-stricken day of the royal passing. See our list of rescheduled concerts, music festivals and parties below.
