Tirzah announces new album, ‘Colourgrade’, out in October

English singer-songwriter Tirzah’s sophomore studio album, Colourgrade, is set for release on October 1, 2021. Alongside the announcement, the artist has shared new single, ‘Tectonic’.

Colourgrade, Tirzah’s much-anticipated second LP, follows her 2018’s Devotion.

The album explores “recovery, gratitude, and new beginnings.” Recorded before the birth of her second child, it presents the singer’s discovery of the type of love shared between mother and child while working as a music artist.

Capturing both the great and the scary, the exhaustion and the recovery, Colourgrade is a listless amble through the innermost feelings, an intoxicating presentation of a full time mother and artist.

Alongside the exciting announcement, Tirzah has shared her new single, ‘Tectonic’. Written with longtime collaborator Coby Sey, the song is the culmination of a number of jam sessions at The Room Studios in South London.

This is the third single taken from the upcoming album, following ‘Sink In’ and ‘Send Me’.

Mixmag called the latter track “sparse, heart-wrenching and sumptuous”, while Clash describes the tune as “raw, yet soulful.”
