With two weekends of Beamfest rolling around, Bangkok is gearing up for another urban music affair.
Billed as an “explosive” hip-hop/dance fusion festival, WOO FEST debuts on Thursday, December 7 at
Voice Space Sugar Club Bangkok with American rapper Tyga as headliner. He’s best known for “Molly”, “Dope” and “Hookah” (and, um, as Kylie Jenner’s ex).

DJ sets will be provided by Danish-Norwegian duo Pegboard Nerds (Alexander Odden and Michael Parsberg), Taiwanese talent DJ RayRay, Singaporean maven Myrne, and one more special guest to be announced.
Tickets are on sale through Ticket Melon, going at THB1590 for early bird, THB1,990 for regular and THB2,990 for VIP. The VIP zone features a fast-track entrance, a VIP-only bar and is restricted for ages 20 and up.
WOO FEST is Thailand’s first modern hip-hop festival and a collaborative effort by Singapore’s Moonbeats Asia, Hype Events Bangkok and Live Bangkok. The latter two teams have helped bring you Mystic Valley Festival, Jai Wolf, FKJ and, any day now, alt-J.
