XG is back with something fresh and unexpected! The hip-hop and R&B-inspired girl group just released their latest project, XDM Unidentified Waves, on January 31. But this isn’t just another album—it’s a remix collection that pushes their signature sound into wild, new territories.
Under the creative vision of XGALX founder and executive producer JAKOPS (SIMON JUNHO PARK), this release takes XG’s music and reimagines it in styles like Jersey Club, Big Room, Future House, Trance, Piano House, and even Hard Rock. If you thought you knew what XG sounded like, think again—XDM Unidentified Waves is all about breaking boundaries and experimenting with bold, new sounds.
This remix project is another step in XG’s mission to redefine music with their unique X-POP concept, blending genres and influences into something completely new. And honestly, they’re succeeding.
2024 was massive for XG. Their second mini-album, AWE, not only landed on the U.S. Billboard 200 but also topped the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart. Then, there was their first-ever world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL”, which took them to 26 cities, with 29 performances in front of over 200,000 fans across Asia, North America, the UK, and Europe.
And they’re not slowing down in 2025. The tour continues with stops in Japan (Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne), and China (Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu). There’s even a South American leg in the works.
But the biggest milestone? XG is set to perform at Coachella 2025, making them the only Japanese act confirmed for this year’s lineup. It’s a huge deal and just proves that they’re making serious waves in the global music scene.
