Zayn Malik’s first gig left fans enraged and disappointed

Zayn Malik’s first live set as a solo artist fell short with his hasty 30-minute performance, leaving over 40 fans who had spent 20 hours waiting for the show enraged.

The ex-One Direction member performed at iHeartRadio Theatre in NYC Friday night to a limited number of fans with the gig streamed live online.

The show, which was held to celebrate the release of his first album as a solo artist Mind of Mine, promised an on-stage Q&A with radio host Elvis Duran, in addition to the live performances.

Malik sang numbers from his new LP, including “Truth,” “Like I Would” and “It’s You“, before chatting with host Maxwell and leaving the stage.

The show lasted a brief 30-minute, with the absence of the segment with Duran, leaving Malik’s fans confused and disappointed. However, iHeartRadio staff were not able to provide the fans with answers. So far, no statement has been released regarding the show’s brevity.
