DJ Mag’s very own virtual festival will be running every Saturday and Sunday for nine weeks from July 18 – September 19. Voting for the poll will begin on July 15.
It’s almost that time of the year again where electronic music fans will be casting their votes in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs list. However, with the ongoing coronavirus situation, there has been a lack of music festivals and events to help fans decide who they should vote for in the world’s biggest DJ poll.
With live DJ sets being all the rage during these troubling times, DJ Mag have announced that they will be hosting a series of weekly Top 100 DJs Virtual Festivals to give potential voters to experience their favorite artists in a unique and interactive way.
The Top 100 DJs Virtual festival series, taking place every Saturday and Sunday from July 18 to September 19, will be broadcast across DJ Mag’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels. Each Saturday will feature the Top 100 DJs, while Sundays will celebrate the Alternative Top 100 DJs. According to DJ Mag, the latter list “uses the same vote data as the Top 100 DJs poll, cross-referenced with Beatport sales data and a genre-filter to create a ranking to celebrate the contribution of house and techno DJs”. Voting will begin on July 15 at 12pm BST.
Confirmed DJs for Saturday include #1 champions Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, ALOK, Mariano Bo, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, R3hab, Timmy Trumpet, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, W&W and SAYMYNAME.
Sundays feature some of the top house and techno artists including Carl Cox, Fatima Hajji, Stacey Pullen, Delano Smith, Rebekah, DJ Pierre, Solardo, Marshall Jefferson, CamelPhat, Monika Kruse, Nicole Moudaber and David Morales. Full weekly line-ups will be announced shortly.
