Hello, global music festival wanderlusters! The festival that brings all art, food, music and wellness together ‘Wonderfruit’ has marked its return this December. And here, we’ll show you why you shouldn’t be missing this one out.

When & Where: Set to return on Thursday-Sunday, December 13-16, this year, Wonderfruit decides to bring all the aesthetic, chill and eco-friendly vibes back on the ground of Pattaya’s Siam Country Club once again.

Theme: And as the year before, all those garden will be turned into a camp presenting artistically colourful and environmental-friendly themes surrounded by music, art, crafts, food and workshops.

Highlights
Music: For its 2018 edition, the festival introduces a variety of music genres to its audience, ranging from electronic beats, hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass to something like indie music. After looking through the announcements, make sure you don’t miss the acts of British hip-hop beatmaker Nightmare on Wax and drum ‘n’ bass pioneer Goldie who’ll be taking the stage with a live ensemble. This year, Wonderfruit promises fans with to watch acts like electronic soul artist Bobby Pleasure, Saoirse and techno hero Craig Richards. On top of that, Kuniyaki, Mathew Jonson, Radioactive Man and Sauce81 will be joining with their live sessions as well.

And to double the fun up, the festival will welcome Fleetmac Wood (Burning Man-approved Fleetwood Mac remix project) to the stage this year.

Aside from the names above, the top-notch acts also include the festival’s old friends— Chicago-based rapper Kweku Collins and New Zealand’s multi-instrumentalist/producer Lord Echo.

Moreover, the festival-goers will get to dance along the new selections from the same old Amsterdam-born disk-jockey Young Marco.

Meanwhile, Thai-Swedish pop talent Sirintip and Brit-pop inspired band Costlywood are among the names of country’s very own talented representatives. (For the whole phase 1&2 lineup, click here)

Art: All the signature architectures will be back, people! And of course, you’ll get to wander around the Quarry, see that astounding show by Molam bus and get yourself few delicious bites (or more) at Theatre of Feasts before opening your eyes wide at Solar stage. Plus, this year, Wonderfruit will be introducing VR-tech to deliver wilder jungle exploration to the crowd. You can check it out at “In the Eyes of the Animal” zone before diving into silence at Silent Room.

Taking the art and architecture seriously is one of the rituals of Wonderfruit. In this 2018 edition, the 4-day festival will feed the souls of the crowd from the works of art of international and local artists collectives and studios. The names include Gregg Fleishman, all(zone), Mpdstudio, Ab Rogers Design, Jim Thompson Art Center, PO-D Architects, Thea Rae, Marshmellow Laser Feast, Simon Heijdens.

Activities: Sticking to its theme, Wonderfruit allows all family members, no matter how young they are, to have some relaxation through yoga, painting, cooking and harvesting food from all the professionals in each area. On top of that, to revise and refresh the inner souls, the festival of wellness offers spiritual rebalancing classes and workshops at Wonder Garden.

Food: Meet and shop the delicacy from all the quality restaurants with eco-friendly minds. This year, all the festival trotters will get to try the taste of award-winning chefs’ selected dishes from places like Dean & Deluca, Patom Organic Village, Tamnan Thai, Thammachart Seafood and more.

Tickets: Phase 2 tickets are going on sale via Wonderfruit until Thursday, November 1. Prices are THB4,500 (Sunday pass) / 5,500 (Weekend pass) / 5,800 (4-Day pass).

Then, tickets will go up to THB5,200 (Sunday pass) / 6,200 (Weekend pass) / 6,500 (4-Day pass) on Friday, November 2 for phase 3 sale.


Update (Nov 18): Wonderfruit invites all the Wonderers to take on a journey of extraordinary electronic music cosmos from Boy Bjorn, Crussen, Stavroz and more.

Wonderfruit added more to watch acts to its stages. Throughout 4-day festival of wellness, art and music, the Wonderers will get to dance along the fresh techno music played by the marching crew MEUTE. Meanwhile, Boy Bjorn will team up with Crussen and Stavroz to fill the air with fresh electronic beats.

For cross-cultural music fans, you need to be ready for the lit selections from headliners like Alena Murang, DuOuD and Mammal Hands.

Also, added to the top-notch acts this year are Alligatorz, Two Pills After Meal, and Weep Show with Borgar & Howie B.

Aside from the fresh beats, Wonderfruit also is ready to take its fans to embark on the world of innovative and soul-inspiring delicacy from the worldly-famous chefs at Wonder Kitchen (reservation is required) alongside a variety of spiritual healing activities at Wonder Garden and many more.
