Jackson Wang is back, and he’s about to take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster. The global music icon just dropped a teaser for his upcoming single, “High Alone,” set for release on February 12 at 11 AM ET. But that’s not all—Jackson also confirmed that his next full-length album, MAGIC MAN 2, will be arriving this summer.
Unlike his 2022 MAGIC MAN, which introduced fans to his alter ego, this sequel goes deeper, exploring the darker and more toxic sides of that persona. The album will be divided into four chapters, each representing a stage of grief, from denial to acceptance.
For Jackson, this project is deeply personal. After taking a rare step back from the spotlight, he faced some unaddressed emotions head-on. The result? An album that lays everything bare—his struggles, his healing, and his journey to finding peace.
Reflecting on the evolution of MAGIC MAN, Jackson shared:
“I created MAGIC MAN to figure out my pain, as a mask representing my darkest emotions. But after taking a year away, I realized I had never truly asked myself what ‘finding my magic’ really meant. I went through denial, destruction, and healing. The only way I could release it was through music. This album represents being true to myself, listening to my heart, and accepting both the good and the bad.”
With this raw and unfiltered approach, MAGIC MAN 2 promises to be Jackson’s most introspective and vulnerable project to date.
Jackson Wang is no stranger to making history. His first MAGIC MAN album debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200 and landed at #3 on the Top Album Sales chart. He became the first Chinese solo artist to perform at Coachella three times, and his 2023 MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR sold out venues worldwide.
Beyond music, Jackson is a Louis Vuitton Global House Ambassador, Cartier Ambassador, and Hennessy Ambassador, and recently took on a role as Creative Director for Nike and Jordan. With over 100 million followers across social media, he’s one of the most influential artists of this generation.
With MAGIC MAN 2 on the way, “High Alone” sets the tone for what’s to come—an emotional, intense, and deeply personal journey. Fans won’t just be listening to new music; they’ll be stepping into Jackson’s world like never before.
Mark your calendars—”High Alone” drops February 12!
