The Filipino pop singer and YouTube star returns from a two-year hiatus with new, upbeat single and lyric video ‘Hello Stranger’.
Janina Vela returns with a new personal but relatable song, ‘Hello Stranger’. The single is the first official music release of the popular Filipino YouTube vlogger this year.
Inspired by Vela’s personal experiences, the upbeat track deals with the young songwriter stumbling and meeting upon a past love as a stranger once more.
“This song is about meeting someone, becoming friends, more than friends, then eventually becoming strangers again,” says Janina.

The single follows the release of her debut EP, Love You the Same, released in 2018. The EP featured the singles ‘Hesitate’ and ‘Sorry I Left’, the latter featuring fellow Filipino singer Donny Pangilinan.
