In the Carpool Karaoke segment on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, the pop star previously revealed the reason behind her mysterious cover-up as an attempt to maintain control over her privacy.
“I don’t wear this unless there are cameras around. I only wear this to try and maintain a modicum of privacy,” revealed the “Alive” singer.
“I thought, ‘What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?’ And it was mystery!” Sia told Corden. “I was like, ‘There’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist.'”

The star also justified her cover up as a way of cultivating a sense of mystery around her identity.
